Petro-Canada SYNTHETIC Motor Oils start with the patented HT purity process which produces Features and Benefitsthe purest in the world. Specially formulated with 100% synthetic base oils in combination with leading-edge additive technology, they deliver exceptional resistance to thermal breakdown and oil thickening, exceptional low temperature fluidity, and outstanding engine protection against wear and deposit formation under the most severe driving conditions such as stop and go traffic, short trips, trailer towing and extreme hot and cold temperatures.

Petro-Canada SYNTHETIC Motor Oils are specially formulated to exceed the latest API Service Classification, SM, for gasoline service. They also meet the requirements of light duty diesel applications where API CF is recommended. They meet the latest ILSAC GF-4 specification.

Applications

Petro-Canada SYNTHETIC Motor Oils are recommended for year-round use in gasoline, light duty diesel* * , propane and compressed natural gas ( CNG) fueled engines. They meet the new car manufacturers’ warranty requirements for North American, European, and Asian vehicles where an ILSAC GF-4 or API SM engine oil is recommended.

They are back serviceable where ILSAC GF-3 or API SL engine oils are recommended. They also meet the
requirements of light duty diesel applications where API CF is recommended.

Fully compatible with other synthetic and petroleum based motor oils.

Petro-Canada SYNTHETIC Motor Oils meet the GM 6094M specification. Petro-Canada SYNTHETIC 5W-30 also meets the Ford WSS-M2C929-A service fill specification. Consult your owners’ manual to select the appropriate viscosity grade for your engine.

Improved Fuel Economy Performance over ILSAC GF-3 Standard
Petro-Canada SYNTHETIC Motor Oils can save between 1.1 to 2.3% * in gasoline consumption compared to a motor oil without friction reducers, and so exceed the API’ s latest Energy Conserving ratings.

In addition, they retain from 0.8 to 2.0% * fuel economy property throughout service life. This represents a 15% improvement* in the fuel economy requirements compared to the previous ILSAC GF-3 standard.
